These represented two of PlayStations big marketed games for the month of September, it is great to see them both succeed.

Deathloop the new IP from Arkane Lyon also did well this month, as it tracked the #2 spot on the North American charts, while it tracked at the #4 spot in the EU. Ember Labs is undoubtedly happy with these results while also netting a top 5 position on the North American chart as well. A new charming game from an unproven studio overtaking a juggernaut like NBA 2K22 is incredibly impressive. Perhaps one of the biggest surprises this month was Kena: Bridge of Spirits the first game from Ember Labs studio taking the number one spot on the EU PS5 list. There were still plenty of interesting surprises to be found through the lists of PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and of course free-to-play games downloaded across both consoles. While NBA 2K22 topped the charts as to be expected with the massive international appeal of basketball. Kena: Bridge of Spirits is available now on PlayStation and PC platforms. As September comes to a close, we get a brief glimpse of the games that found success on the PlayStation platform this past month. If you’re yet to pick up Kena, and are intrigued by this release, then note that the Steam release is currently available to purchase at a discounted price for the first week of sale, so move fast! Deluxe Edition owners will get an exclusive bonus outfit. The package adds a New Game+ feature, Spirit Guide trials, new Charmstones, and various accessories and outfits for our lovely protagonist. In addition to the Steam launch, a new “Anniversary Update” is available to download for free on all platforms. In any regard, Kena is a very attractive and charismatic venture, and deserving of the plaudits directed toward its visuals, audio, and satisfying mechanics. While the title does feature world traversal, puzzle-solving, and combat elements, it must be noted that the adventure is more a trek to be enjoyed than a challenge to overcome. Kena: Bridge of Spirits is something of a mood piece, following the zen-like adventure of the titular young spirit guide as she embarks upon a journey to guide the recently departed from the plains of reality to their eternal resting place in the spirit realm.
